GLK 350 Regular Filament Headlights to Projector Conversion (HELP!)

I have a 2013 GLK 350 that came with standard filament headlamps and I would like to convert them to a HID/Projector setup.
I'm finding out that this might not be so easy. Tracking down a vehicle parts schematic is hard enough, but I've heard from a MB parts representative that the conversion would require soldering relays and reprogramming ECU's in place of a wiring harness.

Can anyone give any advice???

I updated to HIDS on my SLK and they were a great improvement
Mine were just plug and play and took me about an hour to fit.
